The technique of hackling with nutria hair is a trendsetting innovation that has quickly become a go-to method for crafting highly mobile and durable "Spey" hackles. It's straightforward to tie, especially on TTT or BTT tubes, and has delivered great results for Mikael and the Frödinflies team, even during this tough salmon season. We’re confident that the Nutria Spey technique will soon become a standard in modern fly design. In fact, the Samurai style combined with a Nutria Spey hackle landed some impressive fish on Canada's east coast this past June.
