Day 4 – BIG fish!

Today it was time to fish what is perhaps the best of the pools - Rongahölen normally gives perhaps a third of the catches. A terrible sun made me choose to fish deep but until the last hour I had never seen or felt anything. Tried then a small Dee sheep on a flyt/int/sjunk2 and got two quick grilse. Maybe I should have put more time down in the - you learn! In the afternoon it was time for Langhölen again. Here’s where I started. I had planed out to fish it a little different and after just a few casts I had the first firm take. I noticed immediately that it was a big fish. Some luck did its long runs up in the deep water, and after maybe 15-20 minutes surrendered. 104 cm sea liced in topp condition maybe it weighed a little more than 30lbs! A real Bolstad salmon! I continued with my little green Samurai and was into fur salmon more .... they took so gently that I couldn’t get them!
