From Blanda to Ranga

Second day on Blanda was hot and sunny. The glacier river rised and got dirtier and dirtier, but the salmon were still alert. I choose to fish in the middle layer with a middle size fly, which apparently worked excellent! The plan here is to fish each section one and a half hour and then change. Both sides rotates, one up and one down until the end of the period. Two periods a day is almost too much. I had a couple nice middle size salmon and a few grilse. ”Home” to lunch and starting packing for some hours car trip to the south coast and East Ranga. We replaced the wild salmon fishing with sea ranching, special! I have heard about Ranga for so long that it now was time to try it. We managed two hours fishing before the night. A small grilse was the result. The lodge is nice and so are the other 18 salmon anglers. Tomorrow will be a complete fishing day on Ranga.
