Second day - to "the top"!
Eivind and I went together with boatsmen Odd Christian and John Vergard. For me it’s mixed feelings fishing the top, where the waters runs out from the power plant, the same place I hooked the biggest salmon in my life… We started at Bulvero. Eivind went first and hooked one - the line got stuck around the reel - CATASTROPHE! The line banged like a gun! On the top I had two small ones. Rising water and conditions which makes it hard, the salmon just don’t take as much. I were on to a couple small ones on the tail of ”Svartfossen”. Back to the lodge we were told Pål had a 14 kilos female, super nice! Of course it were released back into the river, these big females are the most important fish for the rivers.
